The tools do not send anything anywhere
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. What you type into them is never transmitted and never saved. Close the tab and it is gone.
Article drafts stay in your browser
The submission forms save your draft to your own browser's local storage as you type, so you can leave and come back. That copy stays on your device. Nothing is sent to us until you press Submit.
What happens when you submit a form
The contact, volunteer, and article submission forms are handled by Netlify Forms, our web host. What you typed is delivered to us there. We use it to reply to you and to run the program.
No accounts, no tracking cookies
You do not need an account to use anything here, and we do not offer one. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It does load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers. That is the only third-party request the site makes.
If you are under 18
Much of our audience is. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us a form. If you believe a child sent us information you would like removed, email us and we will delete it.
